Steps to install WordPress…

  1. Download the latest version of WordPress

First you have to download the latest version of WordPress from https://wordpress.org/download/ it’s an official download page. Always download and install the latest version of WordPress. Please check the below steps to build a wordpress website.

  1. Upload the WordPress Files on Your web Server

Upload those files to your web server in public_html, using Cpanel or FTP. Extract them and drag or move all the files in to public_html.

  1. Create MySQL Database and User for WordPress to use

Next you have to create MySQL Database and User for the same. Because WordPress stores its information in a database. You can create Database and its User by following the below steps

Login to cPanel, in the Databases section, click the MySQL Database Wizard icon and create a  Database by entering a name

Similarly we have to create a user by entering the database user name, password. It’s a best practice to use a secure password but be sure to save these credentials, because you have to use them while configuring. Now click on Create User.

Now Add User to the Database, select the All Privileges checkbox and click on Next Step to continue.

  1. Complete the installation process

Next Configure WordPress to connect to the newly-created database by opening the domain (http://yourdomain.com) in browser. Setup page will appear on screen. Select the desired language and click on continue.

On the next screen you will see a message, asking you to keep the necessary information for the installation. We already have the information Database name, Database user name, Database password, simply click on the Let’s Go! Button.

On the next screen we have to enter the details of newly created MySQL database, username and password then click the Submit button.

WordPress will now verify whether our settings are correct or not. If you have entered all the details, you will see a confirmation screen. Click on Run the Install button to proceed.

On the next screen you have to enter the information about your administrative username and the title of your new site. Make sure to you use a strong password so that your administrator account is secure. Also keep in mind, that you should specify a valid email address which is working. It will be helpful in generating the password in case you forget. In addition to this you have to specify whether you want search engines to index your site or not. If you select the checkbox it won’t index your site. It’s a best practice to discourage search engines from indexing the site until you are done with all the things once done you can deselect it. Once you enter all the required information, click on Install WordPress button.

On the next screen you will see a message WordPress has been installed successfully.

You can now click on the Log In button to access your administrative backend and start posting in your new site.
